More than 200 volunteers keep our pantry running every week. Whether you have one hour or one day, we have meaningful work that fits.
Volunteer opportunities
Volunteer shifts range from one hour to a full day. We will match you with work that fits your interests, schedule, and physical ability.
Food sorting & packing
Inspect donated food, sort by category, pack senior boxes and backpacks. Weekday mornings and afternoons.
Distribution greeter
Welcome guests, help with check-in, accompany families through the shopping area. Tue, Thu, Fri, Sat.
Food rescue driver
Pick up donated food from partner grocers in our van. Valid driver's license required. Mornings, three days a week.
Mobile pantry crew
Travel with us to outlying communities once or twice a month to set up pop-up distributions.
Weekend Backpack packer
Pack discreet weekend food bags for kids. Thursday afternoons during the school year.
Garden volunteer
Tend the pantry's community garden from May through October. Beginners welcome.
Holiday meals team
Help us pack and distribute hundreds of holiday meal boxes in November and December.
Office & data
Help with reception, intake records, and grant reporting. Remote-friendly options available.
Special skills
Bilingual support, plumbing, electrical, accounting, photography, writing — we welcome targeted skill donations.
Requirements
- 14 years or older for most roles; under 14 welcome with a parent or guardian.
- Comfortable on your feet for some shifts; seated options always available.
- Respect for guest privacy and dignity at all times.
- Valid driver's license for rescue and delivery roles.
- Background check for ongoing roles working with children or finances.
