Corporate Giving: How Businesses Strengthen the Pantry

December 19, 2024 · 5 min read

Strong local businesses are at the heart of every healthy community, and many of ours give generously to keep neighbors fed. There is a giving structure that fits almost every company.

Cash and recurring sponsorships are the most flexible form of support and allow us to buy what is most needed at any moment. Sponsorships are recognized at multiple levels on our donor wall and in annual reports.

In-kind donations of food, supplies, or services often come from grocers, restaurants, accountants, and trades. We are happy to provide donation receipts.

Volunteer days bring teams of employees into the pantry for a half- or full-day shift, which builds morale internally and moves a remarkable amount of food.

Matching gift programs double employee donations at no extra cost to the business. Many employers already offer them; check with HR.

Finally, advocacy and visibility from a respected local business can shift conversations about hunger in our region in ways no nonprofit alone can.
